HELP WANTED – EXPERIENCED PAINTER – BROOKHAVEN, MS

I’m looking for one experienced painter to help me on a commercial/industrial painting project in Brookhaven, Mississippi, starting Wednesday, September 9.

The project is expected to run Wednesday, September 9 through Sunday, September 13, with the possibility of an additional 1–2 days depending on progress. You MUST be available to work both Saturday AND Sunday. Some days may require more than 8 hours of work.

Pay: Based on actual experience, skill level, and qualifications. Pay can increase significantly for someone who meets all preferred qualifications and has relevant certifications.

Requirements:

* Valid government-issued photo ID — required for jobsite access
* Reliable transportation
* Painting and surface-preparation experience
* Steel-toe work boots
* Proper painter whites/work clothing — long pants and a sleeved shirt
* Comfortable working safely at heights and around a scissor lift
* Must be available Wednesday through Sunday, including BOTH Saturday and Sunday
* Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and have some common sense 😂

Strongly preferred qualifications:

* Commercial/industrial painting experience
* Airless spray experience
* Scissor-lift / MEWP certification
* Ability to work independently and perform quality prep and painting without constant supervision

Work will include pressure washing, cleaning/degreasing, surface preparation, scraping/sanding, masking, and spray application.

This is a commercial/industrial jobsite with strict safety requirements. All required jobsite and OSHA safety procedures must be followed. Depending on the task, required safety equipment will include hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, gloves, face shield, steel-toe boots, and fall protection where required.

There will be a short mandatory safety meeting before reporting to the jobsite to review the work plan, safety requirements, equipment, and jobsite rules.

This is a short-term commercial project, but there is potential for additional work afterward for the right person, including a large upcoming residential painting project.

McCoy Painting LLC is proud to be working with Superior Resources LLC on this wash bay refurbishment project in Brookhaven, Mississippi.

We’ve been fortunate to stay busy and continue growing, with several larger projects coming up, including more commercial painting and coating work.

Starting next week, we’ll be handling the cleaning and surface preparation, priming, and finish-coating work on this project. The work is expected to take approximately 5–6 days from start to finish, and we’ll be sharing progress photos along the way.

Another exterior repair wrapped up ✅

This siding had some pretty significant damage and deterioration, so the damaged material had to come off before it could be rebuilt correctly.

New siding was installed, the repair was finished out, and the entire section was painted to give it a clean, uniform finish.

This was a J Gould Construction LLC project, and we were glad to work together to get it taken care of the right way.

✨ Another Beautiful Project Complete! ✨

We’re excited to share the finished results from another project we wrapped up this week!

This project included repainting two bathrooms and the hallway, with extensive preparation to ensure a long-lasting finish. Because previous latex paint had been applied over oil-based surfaces, we took the extra steps necessary to properly prime, prepare, and finish everything the right way. The result is a smooth, durable finish that will hold up for years to come.

🏡 One of two projects we wrapped up this past week! 🎉

We’re excited to officially complete another beautiful transformation, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

This home received a complete interior transformation, including the walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, and garage. From the very beginning, our goal was to deliver a finish that not only looks beautiful today but will continue to look great for years to come. Every surface was carefully prepared, painted with premium Sherwin-Williams products, and finished with the attention to detail that every customer deserves.

🎨 Project Progress Update! 🚧

We started this project last week, and we’re making great progress!

One of the biggest challenges we found was that latex paint had been applied directly over the original oil-based trim, doors, and cabinetry without the proper preparation or primer. As a result, the paint was failing and peeling.

To correct the issue, we’re taking the time to do it the right way:

✔️ Repairing drywall damage and cracks throughout the bathrooms
✔️ Sanding and preparing all previously painted surfaces
✔️ Applying the proper bonding and stain-blocking primers
✔️ Priming the trim, doors, and cabinetry to ensure proper adhesion
✔️ Preparing the walls and ceilings for a smooth, durable finish

A quality paint job is only as good as the preparation underneath it. While most of this work won’t be visible when the project is complete, it’s what ensures the new finish will look great and hold up for years to come.

We’re excited to share the finished transformation soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
