People always ask me how I got started in landscaping.

Truth is, I’ve been at it a long time—but when I really think about it, this is where it began.

Riding side saddle with my dad. Learning how to handle rough terrain, how to run equipment the right way, how to fix things when they break—and most importantly, how to care for the land.

In this video, that’s my dad teaching my son. Showing him how to keep his load steady going down a hill, how to choose the right path, and what it means to work hard.

Taking care of the land—and everything that calls it home—isn’t just work for us.

It’s something we’ve always done.
