Working on a bed project figured I would finish this project I started forever ago while glue dries all rabbit and half lap joints will reinforce joints with oak dowels for contrasting woods. Sometimes projects take a long time but good to take on projects that challenge the imagination. The bed I am working on gave me quite a run. I had a picture and an idea in my head putting it to reality not so easy. Woodworking is one of my favorite things to do and yet it can also be the most challenging. Here's to sticking with it and making sawdust.

Anyone can buy tent stakes but it takes blisters to forge them...... Ouch my hands are killing me. just kidding just two blisters and eight stake tips forged not bad. I know I have my make shift anvil set up wrong just wanted to less yak yak and more wack wack....... Anyone thinking about getting into blacksmith hobby I strongly urge you to seek out a blacksmith and start playing around to see if you like it. It has been my experience that they are very willing to teach as long as your willing to shut up and listen. no but seriously they are great people at least the ones I have met. Thank you Black Dog Forge Blacksmith Shop for making it possible for me. I am truly grateful for all the lessons and helping me get set up with the tools to get started.... I now know why your hammers are smooth the ribs on my hammer just rip my hands apart.... See you soon.. 3lb Sledge hammer does the trick but takes a lot out of ya.... Need to seriously expand my hammer collection. I thought I had a lot of hammers but go into any blacksmith shop and you realize that you have nothing on a blacksmith. Happy forging.........
