Construction Project Engineer/ Project Coordinator

The job is generally summarized as assisting project management with emphasis on reviewing and processing project submittals

Duties and responsibilities include:

· Reading and interpreting plans and specifications.

· Set up submittal schedule and submittal log and pursue/maintain conformance with same.

· Careful review of submittals which include technical data, shop drawings, etc.

· Meticulous processing and flowing of reviewed submittals, shop drawings, etc.

· Monitoring submittal flow in relation to critical path schedules.

· Prioritize review and processing of submittals with project schedule and onsite activities.

· Communicating with project superintendent, project owner and project architect.

· Understanding the relationship of submittals to procurement and project schedule.

· Researching products and materials.

· Process, prepare and submit change order requests, RFI’s, etc.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of similar experience or a related college degree.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Proficient with computer operation, including Microsoft, Bluebeam and Excel programs.
