After: What I call "The Big Reveal!"

Even after the painting is done, the job is still not finished!

Once the tape has been pulled, we gather up all our equipment and begin loading the van up. All the paint will now be poured up for our clients to keep.

If the walls have dried, we'll put the outlet covers back on. Then, proceed to gather up all the plastic, drop cloths, and any trash in the room, and take that out to the van to be loaded.

We personally like to go the extra mile, and if our customer has a vacuum, we always vacuum the room before we leave it. That way, you're walking into a freshly painted and clean room!

At this point, we'll now let our clients know we are all finished up and enjoy seeing the look of happiness on their faces! That's what makes this process completely worth it!

Before: What I call "the fun part!"

This is where the room gets prepped! We always begin a new project by covering the floors & furniture. No matter how many years of experience a painter may have, accidents can still happen. It's best to play it safe & smart! For this project, we weren't painting the ceilings, only trim and walls.

We fill all nail holes and any inperfections we come across with drywall mud. This room took more time due to LED light strips along the border of the walls. When they were pulled down, it also pulled the paint off with it. Be cautious if you want to install any in your own home! We see this happen almost every time.

We then sand all trim (doors & frames, windows, and baseboards) and apply two coats of semi-gloss trim paint.

Once the trim has fully dried, we'll run tape along the baseboard to protect it from any paint splatters and keep drywall dust off. Then we proceed to sanding all walls & mud spots. (This part can get dusty) From there we prime all mud spots to ensure no flashing through the finish coat.

My Dad, and I, have had the opportunity to paint in many places throughout our time of being in business together. On every job, we learn more about the industry, business, people, and most importantly, God. Without God, Z&Z, would never have been a possibility! So, this week we'll be posting some pics from the past, to reflect over the great times we've had together and to give the glory to God, for providing us with the jobs, and putting us in the right places! 🙌🏼😊
