Any brick that was damaged got swapped out, but the real work was in the joints — all the old mortar came out twenty to thirty percent deep into the brick and was replaced with fresh lime mortar, color-matched to the original. We just completed a full restoration of these front property steps and stoop. We ground out the mortar joints 20–30% deep, pressure-washed the entire area, removed damaged bricks, and replaced them with matching bricks. We also color-matched the mortar for a clean, seamless finish.
