William & Mary’s Integrated Science Center 4 marks a decisive shift in support of STEM—advancing the university’s momentum in data science, computing, and applied research. Designed in collaboration by Goody Clancy and Baskervill, the building reflects a shared belief: innovation rarely happens in isolation. Inside and out, the building prioritizes cross-collaboration, placing disciplines side by side and layering pockets of shared spaces to invite overlap, conversation, and new ways of working across fields.

When rapid growth meant Kinsale needed to scale their Richmond campus, they partnered with Baskervill to transform a heavy 1960s-era structure into a sun-soaked and high-performing home base. By stripping the building back to introduce daylight and spatial fluidity, we unlocked a responsive environment designed to elevate how Kinsale operates today and scales for the future.

Energy flows effortlessly through the TB Smith Community Center, from the activity that fills it to the efficiency that powers it. In the vaulted gymnasium, translucent fiberglass floods the room with filtered daylight, softening glare and boosting energy efficiency. Below, basketball courts spark movement, while above, an open-sided walking track promotes visibility across the entire space.
