Proper site preparation is key for a successful project. What you don't see is as important as what you do see. Drainage, frost mitigation, and infrastructure are key to the enjoyment of a space and to it's longevity.

West Monitor Barn in Richmond. We got to work with Reap Construction on this restoration project. 90 percent of the stone came from the old barn foundation. We used granite cobbles for the annex entrance and stacked a 6" veneer on the foundation to complement the retaining walls.

A new build in North Hero. We came in mid-June of 2024 to tie structures together with walkways and patios. We used Blu-60 from Techo-bloc for this project. The sitting wall was built using Quimby Mountain wall stone. After we finished the hardscape. Jesse Labrecque came in with his crew and equipment to finish off the yard and driveway grading. They then Hydro seeded the entire property.

We started this project a couple of weeks ago. The homeowners had an existing patio with a couple of walls. We rebuilt the small retaining wall two years ago. We are back for the final phase. Which consists of the removal of the old surface and 18” of clay. We then installed some drainage and straightened out the lower wall putting new caps on it. We are in the process of cutting and leveling the new stone surface. Each piece is cut chipped and leveled. This is one of the most time consuming patios we install. It will have a very organic feel when complete.
Stay tuned for more updates.

We just started phase 1 of a big residential project in Milton. Mitchell Excavating had to blast a large amount of ledge in order to excavate the foundation site.
The home owner wanted to use this material for the retaining walls to either side or the garage.
We were asked to collaborate with Tim and his crew to get these walls built. These were the largest rocks that we have ever worked with. Some of these boulders were in excess of 20000 pounds.
I had a great time working with Tim, Ryan, and Waylon.
