Attic stairs give you trouble when you put away your Christmas decorations?

This homeowner found that, when they folded the attic stairs up, the right hand hinge mechanism bent.

We were able to remove the old wooden ladder and replace it with a new modern lightweight aluminum ladder.

Not only is the new ladder operated by a modern gas shock system, but it also features an insulated door, which will keep the hallway cooler!

A kitchen remodel we wrapped up in Sugar Land.

It had not been touched in years! Original 1981 Formica counters and backsplash. Honey oak cabinets and yellow walls.

Now:
-freshly painted walls
-painted cabinets
-painted ceiling
-granite counter tops
-tiled backsplash
-new sink with pulldown faucet

What a difference!

Also, they listed a house and got multiple competing offers above asking price!!

Do you have hotspots in certain rooms and hallways?

This is a very likely culprit Most two-story homes have a utility chase where a hollow wall is framed out, so there is a space to drop HVAC lines, plumbing and electrical… The problem is those interior spaces are almost never insulated

This home had three of them and when you go into those downstairs rooms, they were easily 5 to 10° warmer.

This is one of the issues we correct when we update your attic and bring your insulation levels up to modern standards

Remember, 90% of the area homes do not have enough installation and this is the leading cause of high utility bills in your home

Who is getting updated insulation today?

This couple just moved in last week. House is HOT.

Upon inspection, we found that the house has WELL below the minimum. It currently has 5” of insulation. We’re going to fix it!

By the time we are done, this home will have 18” of insulation which will help slash their energy bills and keep them comfortable!

Is your house up-to-date? Remember, for our area , 14” of insulation is the MINIMUM.

We have been seeing this more and more since the freeze of 2021. A lot of people had broken pipes and drywall damage that were repaired… But the insulation was never replaced.

This makes it feel like there is a hole leading right to your attic where all the hot air can come down through that ceiling.
