Learn how we transformed the backyard into separated garden and entertaining area just by adding a fieldstone wall!

Our client in Ridgefield, CT had a vegetable garden that wrapped itself around two sides of a detached garage. The garden had the green-coated wire fencing and iron green fence post that were a real eye sore and took away from the natural setting.

We decided to remove the fence and install a fieldstone wall that surround the garden and separate it from the existing lawn area. We install a perennial bed around the outside of the wall that included Hydrangeas and Ornamental Grasses to help soften the wall.

The wall also had a distinct corner design. Instead of having a regular 90' angle we concave the corner to make a half circle that made a perfect space for a circular copper bird bath to be placed. The wall also provided a small grade change between the garden and lawn area that really separated the garden from the play and entertaining area.

Looking to add some personality to an underwhelming backyard? How about a pond? It can be a great addition to any landscape.

Our client from Ridgefield, CT, who really wanted to add the element of water to her landscape. Our client had the perfect landscape that included raised planting beds with existing large trees and natural stone patios.

The patios were settle in between the raised planting beds along the natural grade of the property which gave us the perfect area to install a koi pond that would fit seamlessly with the surroundings. We also ended up installing a formal reflecting pond about 3'x 15' by the front entrance.
