I just wanted to put this out there for everyone experiencing leaks that youāve never seen before. We understand itās really inconvenient, but just know that you arenāt the only one having this problem! Iāve had an influx of calls from friends telling me they have leaks. The sad thing is, thereās not much that can be done until the ice and snow melt.
Odds are that this isnāt a workmanship issue (see attached diagram), itās technically a weather issue that is most likely covered under your homeowners policy (depending on how it was written).
I want to touch on that as well, just because itās covered doesnāt necessarily mean you need to file a claim. Depending on your deductible, it could or could not be worth filing. We recommend having someone come out to assess the damage before filing. Your insurance claims are something you want to have as a sort of āace in the holeā for when itās really needed.
Example: If your deductible is $1,000 dollars and you have experienced interior damage (I.E. stains, leaks, puddling water), have it assessed to see how much the damages are. If itās only about $1,300, you will only get $300 after itās all said and done.
Please feel free to call me personally (601-398-8187) or our office at 601-966-8233 for any assistance on these issues.
For our previous customers that are experiencing these issues, I promise we are working diligently to get all issues looked at in a timely manner!! Thank you for your patience and your business!
