2013 Youth Leadership Program

The goal of the Youth Leadership Program is to enhance the leadership abilities of all participants. for Youth Tour, a seven-day sightseeing trip.

The Youth Leadership Program, coordinated by the Electric Cooperatives of Mississippi, is now in its 27th year! Eighteen of Mississippi's electric cooperatives participate in the program, making these great opportunities possible for participants. This year, we are expecting 68 of Mississippi's student leaders to attend the three-day leadership workshop in March, held in Jackson, Miss. In June, ma

ny of these students will travel to Washington, D.C. We are proud of our participants and are looking forward to another great year!

Check out this quick YT video from NRECA! In the video, you will notice Kent Ford, sponsored by Pearl River Valley Electric in 2005, who not only represented Mississippi as the YLC, but was also selected as the national spokesperson. Kent now works for the United Nations Foundation. Just another great example of how YT can open doors for YOU!
