The guys started framing the quilting room addition this morning. Adding on to a home you built a few years ago is great, because you know how it was put together and because you don’t cut corners you know you won’t find any surprises. I’m crazy excited for my quilter and I am having some jealousy over this Addition! If you need some quilting done Cheme’ is your lady! She does AMAZING work!

Things are moving right along on this custom home. Guys got it sided and trimmed. Painter is finishing up on another home and then they will get started. Cabinet drawings have been approved. It’s going to be gorgeous!

Every now and then we get asked “can we do some of the work ourselves” our answer is yes. As long as you understand that the work you do is not covered under our warranty. And you can do it in a timely manner. This homeowner did their own master closet, tile in the laundry room and hardware install. And it turned out amazing and looks like an amazing professional did it all. We are getting so close on this house and we can’t wait for this fun couple to move in.

The weather finally got good enough we could get the outside of this beautiful home painted! It is so beautiful! I’m in love with every part of this home! We also spent the day cleaning this house. Just a few more hours tomorrow and it will be clean and ready for touch up paint on Wednesday. Window cleaning on Friday, final grade and pictures next week. And then it’s MOVE IN DAY!!!

We built this beautiful home 7 years ago….. it was and still is a beautiful home! However…. one thing if for sure, when you are good at quilting and in high demand you can out grow your quilt room you had built into your floor plan pretty fast. This home owner came back to us a few years ago and said we are going to have to build a shop for a bigger quilt room to add more than one long arm. This winter they decided to add it on to the house instead of a separate shop. This morning the guys staked it out and Edwards Excavation started digging, concrete tomorrow. Then our guys will start framing. We love when we have repeat customers. Whether it is building another custom home, building a shop, or adding on to a home built years ago. We believe in good relationships so when our clients need a contractor for something else they have no doubt who they will call.
