Job Summary
Notch Wood/Fab is seeking a motivated Carpenter Apprentice with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the construction trade. This role offers an opportunity to develop a comprehensive skill set in heavy timber and steel fabrication, millwork, custom furniture, supply chain logistics, and project management. The successful candidate will assist in creating custom architectural elements for residential and commercial projects, primarily serving Northwest Georgia and Chattanooga. This paid apprenticeship provides hands-on experience working with power tools for woodworking and other construction techniques.

Responsibilities
Assist skilled carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing wood and steel structures.
Operate power tools for woodworking safely and efficiently under supervision.
Support the fabrication of custom architectural elements for various construction projects.
Learn and apply best practices in heavy timber and steel fabrication processes.
Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Contribute to supply chain logistics by preparing materials and managing inventory as needed.
Gain exposure to project management tasks, including planning, scheduling, and documentation support.

Experience
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a construction trade or related field.
Candidates with experience in welding technology, traditional wood joinery, or sawmill operations are strongly encouraged to apply!
Familiarity with power tools used in woodworking is preferred.
Interest in expanding skills across multiple areas such as heavy timber, steel fabrication, millwork, and project coordination.
Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and ability to follow safety protocols on-site.
