There’s a lot of misinformation out there about electricity — and believing these myths can be dangerous (and expensive). Let’s set the record straight:

~Myth: If a wire isn’t sparking, it’s safe.
Truth: Wires can still carry a live current without sparking. Always assume a wire is energized unless proven otherwise.

~Myth: DIY electrical work saves money.
Truth: One wrong connection could cost you thousands — or worse, put your safety at risk. Remember Electricians and Electrical codes exist for a reason.

~Myth: If the breaker is off, the wires are safe
Truth: Breakers can be mislabeled, faulty or Back- fed. always test before touching.

~Myth: Power strips can handle anything.
Truth: Overloading a power strip is a fire hazard. Know your limits — not all devices should be plugged in together.

~Myth: Wood and rubber always protect against shocks.
Truth: Only proper equipment rated for electrical work can guarantee safety. A rubber-soled shoe won’t save you from a live wire.
