From start to finish, our team successfully completed the bathroom renovation project. We hung drywall, applied tape and four coats of mud, and added an orange peel texture to the walls. The ceiling features a sanded swirl texture, which was expertly blended. We finished the project with a PVA primer today. The result is a stunning bathroom, ready for tile surround and paint, thanks to the excellent collaboration with our clients.

Started off Tuesday February 3rd going in the crawlspace and replace damaged insulation between the rim board and first joist.
Back outside to counter flashing around the door with zip tape. On the top of the door a door cap flashing was installed with another layer of zip tape over the top.
On to J channel. We start at the bottom and trim around the deck base the onward and upwards. New aluminum J channel was installed correctly 👌.
With the old siding in decent shape except for a couple short pieces, I installed the siding on the left side of the door.
Lots of oxidization (white marks) from the sunlight.

Starting off a beautiful February Monday.

I reconstructed the back deck / landing. I replaced the rotten pressure treated 2x8 base structure. We have a 2x8 PT ledger and fir 2x8 for the rest of the frame. I added a post for a handrail that should have been installed originally. I then added some joist hangers.
Time for decking... cut all boards to size and sand with 80 grit on an orbital sander and install with 3" deck screws.
On to the hand rail. I removed the old rail down the stairs and cut new 2x6 fir to update and match wat has been replaced. With everything fit together and attached I sanded the handrail and rounded the edges.

🎊🎉👏 I think it turned out amazing 🥰

Work on Saturday. I got the deck base attached the new rum board, installed a ledger flashing and zip tape to counter flashing water. Time to put the back door in place, but first let's make a temporary platform to install the door.
The new door is now leveled and attached 🎉🎊
I spray foamed around the casing to seal potential drafts 👍

Progress for Friday. Started by removing the back door deck and ledger board. This exposed more of the un seen damage. From there i removed more siding and foam board. Exterior sheeting was next.
With the rim board full exposed, the full extent of the damage was shown. I ended up replacing just over 5 feet of rim board, applied subflooring adhesive and new ¾ decking. With that done a new 8 foot section of Exterior sheeting was cut to size and installed. Foam temporarily installed and doorway covered for the night.
