12 CREATIVE BEDSIDE TABLE IDEAS

1.A Side Chair
Even a regular old side chair can look cool in the right environment.

2.A Stack of Books
For a super easy, affordable, chic bedside table that isn't really a table, stack up some books.

3.A Floating Shelf
Secure a floating shelf or tiny floating table to the wall as to save floor space but still have a place to put your nighttime essentials.

4.A Windowsill
Even a windowsill can provide extra storage space for decor, lighting, and other essentials when there's no room for an extra table.

5.A Classic Nightstand
Larger than a nightstand and smaller than a dresser. With three roomy drawers and a sleek shape, it strikes the perfect balance between form and function.

6.A Built-In Niche
The assets of the room with a built-in niche right above the bed provide conveniently-located surface space as well as spacial intrigue.

7.A Garden Stool
When all you need is a little extra space for a sleek lamp and maybe a glass, opt for a garden stool.

8.A Bar Stool
In classic shabby chic style, each item is unpretentious and has a purpose. If you choose a plain wooden stool, consider painting it a fun color.

9.A Custom Bedframe
If you're already creating a custom bed frame, consider building a side table extension if you like minimalism.

10.A Dresser
If your bedroom is big enough, use a dresser as a bedside table.

11.A Built-In Bookcase
The built-in bookcase is a smart storage solution, keeping clutter at bay.

12.A Coffee Table
A coffee table is a great alternative to a bedside table.

Are you ready to be surprised? 🤪

The Bauma House designed by Gad is situated in Istanbul, in a suburb called Beykoz. 😍

The design is unseamed, with smooth lines, so there’s no actual distinction between the floor, walls, etc. With this focused attention to the modern, endless lines and details, they also found a way to integrate the family who lives there love for antique pieces, and a compounding of various eclectic styles, which can often be hard to incorporate when you have a modern home like this.

🏡How do you like such a house design? Do you want to have the same?

SIMPLE TRICKS TO MAKE YOUR SPACE WIDER!

1. Shrink Your Dining Table
Small round tables aren't just for breakfast nooks. Ditch the giant dining table and give yourself some extra space by opting for a small, round dining table instead.

2. Opt for Pocket Doors
Pocket doors with glass windows allow for shared light to flow throughout the space while also creating separation. And even better, they slide right into the wall when not being used, taking up much less space than swinging doors.

3. Use a Day Bed
Add a day bed and watch your bedroom double in size. If you don't have a designated guest room, this could also come in handy in your living room.

4. Mount Your TV
A media console is the biggest space waster in a small living room. Mount your TV on the wall or above a fireplace and you'll regain necessary floor space.

5. Do Double Duty
Pieces that can serve multiple purposes are key: Find a table that can function as a desk and dining table, get a deep sofa that can double as a guest bed, or buy cubes that serve as a coffee table and bonus seats when guests are over.

6. Use Mirrors
It's the oldest design trick in the book: Mirrors will make your space feel larger, lighter, and airier. And a fun convex one like this adds a lot of personality without taking up a ton of space.

7. Make Every Piece Count
Choose furnishings that offer maximum functionality in minimal square footage. For example, instead of an end bench, opt for a desk with a small side chair. You can use it for work, getting ready, and more.

8. Keep It Neutral
Calm, even-toned rooms fool the eye into thinking they're more spacious than they are. Make sure to add a variety of textures to keep the space from falling flat.

9. Customize Storage
Bespoke built-ins, storage nooks, and furniture tailored to your exact needs can utilize every available sliver of space. When they're part of the walls, you don't lose nearly as much valuable square footage. And extra storage under a bench helps, too.

10. Use Bigger (But Fewer) Furnishings
It may seem counterintuitive, but outfitting a small space with just a few large-scale pieces (rather than a mishmash of pint-size furniture) can actually make it feel grander. Resist the urge to push all of your furniture up against the walls. If you create space behind the furniture, it makes the room look wider than it is.

11. Think Vertical
Exploit the often under-utilized space between the tops of furniture and a room's ceiling with hanging or high-mounted elements. Take bookcases and cabinets all the way up—it'll make the room feel higher.

12. Build a Partial Glass Wall
Tear down walls, enlarge windows, or swap solid doors for glass to open up views and connect adjacent spaces.

13. Incorporate Good Lighting
Good lighting will make or break any room–big or small. Make sure to especially install good lighting in smaller, cramped spaces like a bathroom with a tiny window, as shown in this gorgeous space by designer Corey Damen Jenkins.

14. Edit Yourself
You don't have to display everything. After all, nothing makes a room feel smaller than clutter.

7 INTERIOR-DESIGN TRENDS THAT WILL START TO DISAPPEAR IN 2021, AND 8 YOU WILL SEE EVERYWHERE

Interior-design trends are always going in and out of style.

1. Shiplap was popular throughout the 2010s but today is falling out of fashion.
2. Gray kitchen interiors may become less popular. Instead, bolder colors are gaining popularity.
3. Like all-gray designs, all-white rooms seem to be falling out of favor.
Its predicted that the age of minimalistic, all-white interiors may be coming to an end.
4. The 1950s and 1960s designs have been popular for the last few years. But the mid-century modern furniture trend may finally be over.
5. Barn doors could be replaced by other types of statement entryways, such as pocket doors or classic French doors.
6. Accent walls likely won't be as trendy in 2021.
They can look childish and be too distracting, so it's trending to returning to monochromatic walls.
7. Matching furniture sets may start to look dated.
matching furniture set.
Having everything match doesn't allow people to let their personal style shine through. So, it's trending selecting nonmatching pieces with complementary colors or designs.

WHAT'S IN TREND?

8. On the other hand, the "grandmillennial" or "granny chic" style may rise in popularity.
The rising "grandmillennial" trend is a modern revival of homey design elements that you might find in your grandparents' home, and floral wallpapers are considered as "granny chic".
9. Peel-and-stick wallpaper will likely be trendy in 2021.
Self-adhesive, removable wallpaper is gaining popularity with people who rent or are looking for a low-commitment way to upgrade their living space.
10. Rustic ceramics may edge out smooth tiling in the kitchen.
The kitchen designs of 2021 may swap smooth, uniform backsplashes for colorful, handcrafted ceramic tiling. You can use ceramic tiling to create backsplashes or cover entire walls.
11. Green cabinets could be one of the biggest kitchen trends of 2021.
Designers think green will be a big color for 2021.
12. Industrial styling may be the next big trend in 2021.
Mixing wood and metal in the home is becoming more trendy.
Industrial interior style often incorporates elements such as exposed stonework, high ceilings, wood and metal elements, and neutral colors.
13. Wicker and rattan furniture will likely be trending.
Natural-looking furniture is coming back in style.
14. Natural fabrics may gain popularity over synthetics.
Synthetic fabrics such as polyester, nylon, and rayon may lose ground to natural and recycled textiles in 2021. So, such textiles as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and low-impact linen as prime candidates for 2021 trends.

Do you agree with these trends? I absolutely adore green kitchen! 🥰 And what responds to you?
