Todays adventures , have got me upset enough that there's a water heater manufacturer that i will not use again until they get something on there end fixed.
Friday September 18th i got a call from a client who couldn't get their water heater to light. So i went and looked at it. Cleaned it and put it back together. Nothing, so the homeowner called A. O. Smith directly. I asked the homeowner to get a gas valve and burner assembly, i know that its hard to find one locally. The first guy gave her a run around......we can only send one part at a time. I have found that the new gas valve doesn't communicate with the old burners . So i asked for both. She got frustrated with him and hung up. She called back and they sent both. So today i went and changed them for her and it worked awesome
Yesterday i had to try and light another one....same thing ...nothing. So i called AO smith today. And i got Paul Blart AO smith cop. Only one part at a time.......Mr P , lost it. It takes a lot for me to go off but i did. Finally i just said send the gas valve...if that doesn't work, you'll be hearing from me again. Whoever that guy was, AO smith has a problem. Now i have a customer going on day 3 no hot water.
Ive already changed water heater manufacturers for my new installs and for replacement ones. I hope i get the part so these people can take a hot shower.
AO smith has had issues for over a year , im not the only one that has changed from them . I can name a couple other companies who have also. And dont tell me to switch to Rheem. Cause im having the same issues with them
