Not every pool recovery is a simple “throw some shock in and hope for the best.” 👊

This project involved a full black algae treatment and recovery process from top to bottom.

✔️ Heavy chlorine treatment
✔️ Black algae spot treatment
✔️ Full wire brushing
✔️ DE filter deep cleaning
✔️ Riptide vacuuming
✔️ Phosphate treatment
✔️ Water chemistry correction
✔️ Surface repair work

One of the biggest discoveries was finding a heavily algae-infested catch bowl above the waterfall feature that was continuously feeding contaminated water back into the pool system. We drained it, treated it aggressively, restored flow, and got the entire system cleaned back up properly.

A lot of companies would’ve pushed for a drainn of the whole pool.
We brought it back to life instead. 💧

Startup day process work. 💦

On fresh surfaces, chemical application matters just as much as the chemistry itself. Today we’re walking through part of our startup procedure — safely diluting and perimeter pouring acid to protect the new finish, followed by liquid chlorine application on the opposite side of the pool for proper distribution.

Nothing flashy, just taking the time to do things the right way. 👊

Startup Day 1 at this new pool build. 👌

Fresh plaster startups are one of the most important phases in the life of a pool. Water chemistry, circulation, filtration, and daily brushing all play a major role in protecting the finish during cure.

Today’s work included:
• Water balance check
• Startup sequestrant treatment
• Filter monitoring
• Daily brush program
• Ongoing chemistry adjustments

We’ll be onsite daily monitoring the startup process over the coming weeks.
