The temperature fluctuations have been crazy for his year. 🤪 We certainly hope we have seen the last of the crazy cold weather! Not sure how y’all northerns lived in the cold!!🥶 No wonder you moved here!

When your thermostat goes blank the whats the first think you check???? Your drain line!

PLEASE DO NOT pull your thermostat off the wall without shutting off your breaker. Almost always blows a fuse!
Or replace the thermostat without making you buy a compatible version.

My advice is leave that to the professionals! 😉

Basic instructions on how to clear your drain line:

Using a shop vac -
Attach the hose to the pvc pipe next to the unit outside and wrap either a towel or duct tape around it and turn on the shop vac

Allow that to run 5-7 mins

After you have shop vac the line outside go to the air handler.

Gently wiggle off the cap (do not pull the wires) and use a paper towel to dry out the switch, and do not leave the paper towel in the pipe.

Replace the cap and the system will run a safety check, and in 7-10 mins your air will run again.
