Established in 1985 and located in Roanoke, Virginia, Hughes Associates Architects & Engineers is a design firm that strives to meet our clients’ immediate needs and long-range goals with creative designs that exceed their goals and meet their budgets. yond. We assign a team of highly talented, specialized professionals to each project. A licensed professional serves as the Project Manager and is the primary point of contact. This leadership provides for project oversight, overall design efficiency, and consistent communications throughout the life of the project. Whether through in-house personnel or hand-selected consultants, we assemble a team that is tailored to suit your needs. We offer competitive fees and you may choose from a variety of methods of how services will be delivered to you.

We're excited to see students moving into the newly renovated Crawford Hall at Roanoke College! The extensive interior renovation includes new accessible bathrooms, new gender neutral singe-use bathrooms, and MEP upgrades. G&H Contracting was the GC for this project.

The Curve King has left the building… (at least on a full-time basis!).

We want to thank Earle Shumate a happy retirement and for bringing his creativity, humor, and hard work to Hughes Associates everyday for the last 22 years. Prior to joining Hughes, Earle worked with the great folks over at Building Specialists. Having both groups together, in addition to our wonderful clients and subconsultants, made this celebration that much more special.

Earle has agreed to help us out on a part-time basis to assist our clients and on-going projects, but may appear in flip flops and hula shirts from now on!

Congratulations to Restoration Housing on the opening of Trinity Commons, a historic renovation of Trinity UMC's 1922 Sunday School Building into affordable housing for senior citizens. We're always excited to work with Restoration Housing as they play a crucial role in preserving Roanoke's history and providing for the local community.
