We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for work executed in a 100-mile radius of Roanoke, including the Blue Ridge Mountain and New River Valley areas.

Responsibilities Include:

• Follow all company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid other workers, other equipment, potential obstructions and marked or unmarked utility lines.
• Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instructions of on-site management
• Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements
• Move and/or load material utilizing dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.
• Transport dirt, rock, and other construction materials to and from job sites, quarries, dumps, and landfills safely.

Qualifications:

• Must be experienced and capable of operating large equipment (i.e., excavators, loaders, and dozers)
• Knowledge of heavy hauling permits, and restricted routes as well as height, weight, and length requirements (preferred).
• Construction Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
• High school or equivalent (preferred)
• CDL-A license (preferred)

Responsibilities Include:

• Follow all company safety policies
• Perform duties as lead by the
Superintendent / Foreman
• Run and maintain various construction
equipment including but not limited to:
pumps, walk behind saws, demolition
saws, chain saws, and various other
construction equipment
• Load and unload trucks. Deliver
materials to site area or other
designated area
• Dig trenches, set braces to support the
sides of excavations, erect scaffolding,
and remove debris
• Keep building and/or assigned areas
clean and organized
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding,
shoring, braces, and other temporary
structures
• Other duties as assigned per individual
job site

Qualifications:

• Construction Experience (preferred)
• High school or equivalent (preferred)
• Driver's License (preferred)

Copeland crews were able to install an ADS underground detention facility last week for a parking lot project in Trouteville, VA. 3000tons of stone accompanied the system, all delivered by Rockydale. PER covered the system with their incredible telebelt and Copeland crews were able install the entire system in 5 days.

Working on a project in Christiansburg, Va. We were able to make it to 1:30 before the rain got the best of us. We were exporting topsoil and laying storm pipe.
