There are big projects, and there are BIG BIG BIG projects.

The Kalahari Resort and Convention center is Woodford, Virginia is one of those BIG BIG BIG projects. When this Africa-inspired waterpark and convention center opens later this year, it will make, dare we say, a big SPLASH.

This African-inspired waterpark and convention center will feature a 900-room hotel, HUGE convention space, multiple restaurants, retail facilities, and an indoor waterpark and family entertainment center. It will become a major draw for tourism and local businesses in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

Our best-in-class electricians are making steady progress on powering-up this magnificent resort.

When we flip that switch, the Kalahari Resort will light up the local economy, tourism, and family memories.

We can't wait.

We had a great night at the annual Regional Apprentice Night at the Carilion Clinic Field in Salem, Virginia. Every year, industry leaders from across Virginia's Blue Ridge come together to celebrate apprentices who are embarking on prosperous careers in the trades.

We were proud to sign Kenan, our newest plumbing apprentice. We're thrilled that he chose to launch his future at Branch, a 100 percent employee-owned company.

Cassell Coliseum just got a power boost. Our Hopkins | Lacy teams installed a new 800-amp panel and circuits for Virginia Tech Basketball’s upgraded video scoreboards. We saved our Hokie Nation time, labor, and materials. From tip-off to the final buzzer, let’s GO HOKIES!

Last month, our Hopkins | Lacy Fabrication Shop welcomed students from Roanoke City Public Schools for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour and hands-on experiences that sparked imaginations and future career opportunities.

This initiative is part of a broader effort led by SparkForce, the charitable foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA), aimed at engaging and supporting the next generation of manufacturing professionals.

Experts in the workforce say skilled employees are needed for industries right here in our hometowns.
