Let's break down the fun of Snow Removal with Henchman Services. ππβοΈβοΈ
-Small Family Owned. Business,Ran by a husband & wife that both have full time jobs outside of Henchman.π©ββ€οΈβπβπ¨
-Friday pm, All day Saturday, Sunday am - preparing for not only our home & property but for our Customers to receive Snow removal. Which includes trips from Robards for gas, diesel, checking oils, tires, buying salt, cking for winter clothing, snacks, coffee thermos, etc.
-Sunday, Snowing still but removal starts about 130pm with assistance of 1 other crew and I man the phones as our driveway isnt passable without a 4x4 (yea, ours last on list & I had to call in so our 4x4 wasnt tired up running me back & forth to work, still not been done....who do I call about this?? π€·πΌββοΈ). They are out till 2am. π΄π«© 12.5 hours out in elements.
-Monday, up and gone before noon. Since the roads were so bad, The Henchman drove our bigger tractor that has no covered compartment from Robards to town with heater at his feet, followed by 1 other crew to get to businesses & residences because we hated to say No to anyone needing removal. They get home at 10pm. 12 hours π
-Tuesday, The Henchman goes to his full time job, does their lot, works a bit, leaves to continue to do removal before noon. No extra crew, so he comes for me & we go try to conquer together. Left home at 630am, got home at 10pm.
-Wed, we know we have taken on too many that arent regular customers & we hired 2 other people to help us get these extra people done by end of today. Even with 2 hired, we still will be out this evening finishing up.
β οΈHere are some factors that caused delays.
-Road Conditions, very unsafeπ«
-Lack of crew to run equipmentπ€―
-Flat tire in Trailer Tuesday that in the very low temps was fixed by us.π
-Driving a tractor 15 miles into town β οΈ
-Working at a job and neighbor wonders over to inquire or try to get services. π₯Ά
-Our inability to say, Sorry we are booked.π
-Lack of sleep β°οΈ
-Loading & unloading tractors in below freezing weather, with stiff frozen hands.π¬
-Calls all day & night for services.π€©
-Scheduling Coordinating & texting with loud tractors & gloves.π
-Dealing with the Urgency of getting the job done right now and trying our best to accommodate. π€
-getting gas, diesel for truck's & tractors to be able to work.π°
-having to stop to eat, use restroom, warm up or even sleep alittle bit.
We do so greatly appreciate those of you who were patient with us. We tried very hard to be professional, accommodating & keep everyone updated to best of our ability despite our own discomforts & needs, such as going to work, no rest. Today we are both exhausted including painful aches & pains.
βΌοΈIm hoping this gives people some insight on the challenges faced by small businesses. We wont even discuss costs π². Thank you again to every business that supported Henchman Services without a hint of rudeness or aggravation with us. We remember this & hope you receive the kindness back 10x.
