Job Description
We are a growing construction company looking to hire a Heavy Highway Construction Laborer/Pipelayer, someone with at least 5+ years experience with water main, sewer, civil construction and/or site work installation and a
Heavy Highway Construction Superintendent/Foreman with at least 10+ years experience with water main, sewer, civil construction, etc.
Please do not apply if you have not worked for another construction company doing similar work.
Responsibilities include:
Laborer /Pipelayer work geared toward the installation and or repair of water main, installation and/or repair of sewer, Pump station installtion, site work, civil construction, which includes, but not limited to: restoration work (seeding, topsoil, spreading straw), concrete work, paving, material handling(getting materials from staging yard or trucks as needed and knowing what materials to get), site cleanup, digging by hand, flagging as needed and other tasks necessary for the project at hand.
Superintendent/Foreman - All of the above, plus the ability to read blueprints, layout jobs, have knowledge for how a job should progress, be able to think on your feet, run a crew of 5-6 and keep them productive, problem solve, Effective Communication with all parties involved in a project and be willing to pitch in and help where needed whether it be to labor or operate
**We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running (Willing to train the right candidate to get them up to speed with our company's processes)
**We are looking for someone who knows the materials needed for this type of work and how water main/sewer/civil/ heavy highway contrstruction works.
**We are looking for someone who takes direction well, and can pick up our processes quickly.
**We are looking for a hard worker, who shows up on time and does not waste time getting production going.
**Willing to travel to site locations (the majority of our work is within a 45 min- 1 hour drive from Rochester).
**Willing to work all year round.
Eligible candidates must have
Laborer/Pipelayer
- At least 5+ years experience in this specific concentration of
construction
- reliable transportation/ license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 10
- CDL-A driver's license a plus, but not necessary
Superintendent/Foreman
- At least 10+ years experience in this specific concentration of
construction
- reliable transportation/ license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 10
- CDL-A driver's license a plus, but not necessary
Laborer/Pipelayer - Prevailing Wage rate will be paid on all public work jobs and benefits are paid out as well.
Superintendent/Foreman - Compensation based on experience
We are looking for a candidate who can work in a group setting of employees that do not beat around the bush, we work hard and know what needs to be done and expect that you will do the same.
