Last month, Merit was proud to once again give back to a cause that is helping build brighter futures for young people.

As an Associate Sponsor of the 2026 Federated Challenge, our team joined other community-minded organizations at Hazeltine National Golf Club to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. Pictured are Greg Schelling and Josh Fernholz representing Merit on the course.

Through its annual gala and golf event, the Federated Challenge raises funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters organizations, helping create meaningful, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships between youth and caring adult volunteers. The event also supports scholarships that help young people pursue career and educational opportunities.

We’re grateful to be part of an event that invests in the next generation and helps unlock potential—one relationship at a time.

Merit was proud to sponsor The Arc Minnesota’s Golfers’ Choice Tournament at Somerby Golf Club.

Our President, Jeremy Wohlfiel, and his wife, Jen, were honored to represent Merit at this meaningful event. Their time spent connecting with the community reflects the importance of supporting organizations that create greater access, advocacy and opportunity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The tournament brought golfers, sponsors and community members together to raise funds for The Arc Minnesota’s Southeast region programs. Proceeds help support critical resources, services and advocacy that empower people with disabilities to live, work and play on their own terms.
