Our team replaced (2) failed compressors on a Trane rooftop unit to restore reliable cooling and keep the building comfortable and operational. After installation, the system was evacuated, charged, tested, and returned to service.

Sometimes we do other things too. Mailbox got destroyed. A driver jumped the curb and hit it with his mirror.

Removed existing mailbox and post. Installed new 4x4 treated post and secured with concrete. Installed new vinyl mailbox post cover, new mailbox, address numbers, and reflectors. Verified mailbox was level, secure, and properly positioned.

Busy day on the rooftop keeping commercial equipment running strong. 🔧❄️☀️

Worked on two rooftop units today troubleshooting compressor trips, checking electrical components, and inspecting overall system operation. These older RTUs still have plenty of life left when they’re properly maintained and serviced.

Replaced an outdated cathedral ceiling fan with a modern upgraded unit to improve airflow, lighting, and overall appearance. Vaulted and cathedral ceilings can be tricky, but we’ve got the tools and experience to get it done safely and cleanly.

Performed diagnostic evaluation of a residential air conditioning system due to evaporator coil freeze-up condition. Found restricted airflow caused by dirty air filter resulting in low evaporator temperature and icing of evaporator coil. Replaced air filter and allowed system to thaw and stabilize. Verified refrigerant pressures, superheat, subcooling, temperature split, and overall cooling performance. Added 0.6 lbs of R410A refrigerant to optimize system operation. System operating properly at time of service with acceptable cooling performance and humidity removal observed. Recommended continued monitoring of system operation and routine air filter maintenance.

Responded to a failed bearing assembly on a pump—caught it before it turned into a much bigger (and more expensive) problem. Removed the damaged components, installed a new bearing assembly, aligned everything properly, and verified smooth operation before putting it back into service.

These are the kind of issues that can sneak up if equipment isn’t being regularly inspected. A little noise or vibration today can turn into major downtime tomorrow.

If your system doesn’t sound or feel right, it probably isn’t.

Left to get the new one, came back & the customer left me a thank you card, with a gift card to Applebees. Note that said they had to go to work and to lock up when I’m done. That was nice!
