2025 is off to a great start and the crew really needs a big thumbs up for pushing through the horrible weather on both sites from a freak 6” Mississippi snow and ice storm to a 10” snow and drifting snow storm in Illinois for TenCate and GeoSurfaces Midwest.

Down south we had a couple double bullpens in Tupelo MS, and then back home to the Midwest for The CornCrib Stadium removal and returf in Bloomington/Normal,IL.

Stayed tuned for updates on the next big build which has already started and will be completed by mid March.

Well it has been a great spring/early summer so far with so many exciting builds for so many great clients around the Midwest it was hard to pick just one so here are highlights. We can’t forget a special thanks to all the hard working people it took to completed all these awesome jobs for us and keep us looking sharp on field.

We have been super busy since the new year began, having said that 2021 was another great year for J&L Strawn Sports Construction.

A special thank you to all of our clients who put their project in our hands last year and those hands would all the hard working craftsman on our crew that put in the long hours away from home to get them all built with top quality and on schedule.

J&L Strawn Sports Construction is now accepting applications for local and traveling Sports Construction team members for full or part time employment.

Work will consist building sports facilities and installing Synthetic Turf systems and will not be limited to turf only. Duties would also include dirt grading, drainage systems, trenching, rock grading, field work, fence, bleachers and some general construction.

We prefer reliable employees who have strong construction skills and experience who cooperate efficiently with others and come to work with a positive and upbeat attitude.

Must be able to work in outdoor environments, sometimes in extreme weather, work flexible schedule for hours (working days when it’s cool temps and working nights when the days are hot), have a valid class D license and having the ability to pull trailers efficiently will be considered a plus.

$15 per hr starting with overtime hrs available and then daily per diem with accommodations (when traveling)
