Times are a changin'. This was my last project with K Misner Contracting. The construction business is no longer my career path. I am now a full time Chef at the Hungry Heifer Diner in Raymond WA. If you do need a fence or a deck I do know a guy (my father in law whom is licensed, Bonded, Insured and I worked with for 5 years, does good work). So let me know and I can pass along your information to a great contractor.

Thank you all for the support and business and love. It was fun, it was outside, I got to build people's dreams. Now I am off to slang some hashbrown with my best friend and fulfill my passion of feeding people delicious food!

This lil shorty fence and step rebuild are for a wonderful repeat customer in the Shelton area. The fence hieght and custom double swing gate are 4'. Fence boards and toppers are cedar. Post and rails are standard pressure treated lumber. The step rebuild is also cedar on the surface and the kick plates on the front. The handrail are outdoor treated select lumber.

This little deck on a lake is two toned to help guests easily watch their step as they make their way onto the main deck. The compsite decking and trim is Trex, and the darker color is Medeira and the brighter color Havana Gold. It is installed with the Trex Hidden Fastener System.

A real full circle moment! This customer was my first compsite deck I ever worked on. I was working with my dad and at 14 years old I helped construct what is thier large custom front deck.

When they were ready for a new back deck they again called my dad for his work and craftmanship. This time he was recently retired but said he knew a guy and the rest is history (I dragged him back out and he hung around as a "consultant").

This large multi level compsite deck is built with Timbertech decking in the color Sea Salt Grey. The railing is aluminum Timbertech Impressions Rail in the color matte black. Both levels are picture framed in and the front steps are custom built as well with each step measuring about 18 inches in depth.
All of the trim fascia out in 3/4" cedar.

I was asked by a repeat customer if I could build for them what can be only described as a Garden Fortress. I said sure and here it is, the latest from K Misner Contracting-

The Garden Fortress

It is 20 feet long by 16 feet wide and 10 feet tall. The framing is outdoor select lumber trimmed out with cedar and topped with black aluminum toppers. The screen is to keep out the deer and 12 inches into the earth from the bottom of the framing all the way around is 1 inch by 1 inch black pvc coated hog wire mesh to keep out "the damn voles". The front fence style boards are cedar as are the dowels in the 7 foot tall entrance door and all the trim.

This amazing 14 ft by 40 ft beautiful masterpiece started out as a delapidating bi level deck. Now decked out in Fiberon Brazilian Walnut installed using the hidden fastener system and is finished with our custom cable railing system and black metal toppers. Includes cedar privacy wall for hot tub entry, 2 removable section in decking for septic tank access and an additional beautiful set of steps up on the deck leading to the pool!
