This recognition celebrates a project that brings together thoughtful design, technical excellence, and collaboration to create a dynamic environment that supports research, discovery, and innovation.

Roles of the Zoning Board in Community Development
June 25, 2026 | 6pm–7pm

Area variances vs. use variances. Statutory tests. Public Hearings. There are so many nuts and bolts to the roles and responsibilities of zoning boards. In your time on the board, you’ll see a wide variety of projects and be asked to take action in lots of different ways. This session focuses on the basics of the board’s role in the development process and what you might expect when you take your seat.

We had a great time participating in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at Webster Golf Club yesterday.

A special thank you to Paul Sofinski and Tyler Fogarty from Lu Engineers for inviting Eric Hankin and Paul Sofinski of MRB Group to join their team.

We're also happy to share that our team finished in 1st place! While the competition was fun, the real highlight was supporting ASCE's scholarship efforts and connecting with fellow professionals throughout the day.

Thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, and organizers who helped make the tournament such a successful event. We appreciate all the work that goes into creating an event that supports the next generation of engineers.

MRB Group is pleased to be attending the Southern Tier West Regional Planning and Development Board Local Government Conference in Houghton this week and the Southern Tier Central Regional Planning and Development Board Local Government Conference in Corning next week.

These conferences provide valuable training, education, and networking opportunities for the elected and appointed officials who work every day to serve their communities. We're grateful for the organizations that make these events possible and for their continued commitment to strengthening local government throughout the Southern Tier.

At MRB Group, we believe in strengthening the communities we serve, both through our work and through giving back.

We are proud to share that our employees raised $22,744 in support of United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes. Through the generosity of our team, these funds will help support programs and services that make a meaningful difference throughout our region.

A special thank you to Michele Grabowski for leading this year's campaign and helping make it such a success. We appreciate her dedication and the support of everyone who contributed.

MRB Group attended the Victor Central School District's School to Career Connection Breakfast and celebrate the achievements of local students participating in work-based learning experiences.

Special congratulations to Matt Lanning, who interned with MRB Group this past fall and was recognized at today's event. We were honored to have Paul Chatfield, P.E. and Paul Sofinski in attendance to support Matt, with Paul Sofinski serving as his mentor throughout the internship experience.

We're proud to help students explore career pathways and gain real-world experience that prepares them for future success.
