My friend Bob Girouard passed away in Spokane WA on Monday 10/20/2025.

He was affectionately known as Spokane Bob.

Bob was born in 1952 in North Adams Massachusetts.

He was a very hard worker throughout his life.
In 2017 he had shoulder surgery which was botched and effectively ended his driving career that he intended to continue.

He did Long haul for about 30 years when his two kids were growing up.

He drove dump truck for Lory Reimann in Idaho with Scarsella Bros. When the Third Runway started around 2004 Lory said if you want to make some good money get your ass over here, that's when he came to "The Coast" living with Lynn Trusty in Tacoma. He worked on both the TTI contracts and many other Scarsella projects.
He was dispatched to Hos around 2011 when I met him at the Amazon project in Kent driving ORT. We were posted up at Lakeside afterwards and eventually staged in Granite Falls for the next 15 months on the Boeing 777X project. He lived in "Eenunclaw" and commuted with Henry Garcia, they weren't too happy but we made good money and pumped up our pensions.

Bob was a good man, loyal and reliable. I will miss talking to him, he was a character and full of BS

Rest in Peace Old Man

In remembrance of Lory Reimann. 1956 - 2017

On January 10, 2017 Lory Reimann died in a tragic accident at a job site in Tacoma.

He took part in many large scale projects that Scarsella Brother’s did around the Pacific Northwest. I met Lory when The Three Italians (TTI) started the 3rd Runway project around 2004. Scarsella needed 100+ drivers to fill the seats day and night to bring in over 20m cubic yards of fill for one of the region’s largest embankment projects ever. It was a huge undertaking.

I spent most of my time poaching drivers from non union outfits because there wasn’t many drivers in the hall. He’d call and ask for 10, I’d send him 12 or 14 because at least a couple were grocery or can haulers and he would give everyone a chance. He figured if they could drive straight ahead, follow the truck in front of them and get the s**t on the ground they’d be okay. A lot of them ended up in belly dumps or trains.

The best part was be going up on the job and watching them on the fill, a couple of them would rub paint and Rick Scarsella would haul ass down the hill and start railing on them and we’d laugh. Lory had a great laugh, that’s one of the things I miss the most. And the story’s, he had great stories.

Rest In Peace Lory

In remembrance of Louis Larson
1947 - 2024

Louis was raised on Vashon Island and started dump trucking in the 60's for Doug Buck at Renton Sand & Gravel. He worked on many of the largest projects in the northwest including the original 167, 405, I-5 and the very first Light Rail project in Rainier valley. Some of the places he worked for were DPK, DDI, RCi, Olson Brothers, and retired out of OMA as the Number 1 driver.

He knew every pit from back in the days when it was solo's doing the work - over there was Scalzo's old pit, hey that was V&J's dump, that was Marios, up and down both sides of the valley he knew where & when they were loading rock - everywhere we went he had a story of putting in fill, building roads, plats for housing or the thing he hated most - fu***ng paving, black gold my ass it sticks to everything including my ass.

He leaves behind his wife Cissy, sons Pat, Michael and Nicholas and their families.

He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed, Rest in Peace Louis

Dave D'Andrea 1956 - 2014

Dave was born, raised & lived in Tacoma his whole life.

He started off driving concrete mixer as a Teamster with his father Guy at 18. He retired as a Teamster around 2005 and continued as a Longshoreman until 2014.

He was all about workers rights and was a Union Business Agent a couple different times. He was the most honest, fair and caring person I ever met.

Rest in Peace Dave
