I added this exterior gfci protected outlet in the soffit of a home in Lancaster, NY today. I also replaced all the outdoor covers to match this cleaner, modern style as the customer really did not like the appearance of the previous ones. House is only 4 years old by the way.

Today's backstabbed burnt outlet found in a double wide. Manufactured homes are known for improper wiring techniques. This was burning and wasnt installed in an electrical box either. They used a mounting bracket made for low voltage, commonly data, cable/fiber and phone lines. This is common practice with manufactured homes and it is a big fire hazard. This home belongs to a 97 yr old woman. I spent the day teaching her mechanically inclined grandson how to replace and install these properly as the money to do it through a company is not available. It's not always about money but more about helping people and keeping them safe. I was more then willing to help them and grateful. Reminder we want you and your family safe.

Had a customer reach out about lost power outside and in a garage. I helped them trace it to a tripped gfci receptacle in their bathroom over the phone. Its not always about money but more about helping others and keeping them safe. Gfci protection is required by code in any "wet" location and these receptacles are 1 way of providing that protection. If you do not know, gfci protection protects you from being shocked.
