🥶 Upcoming Weather Announcement 🥶
Shick’s Plumbing will be offering 24 hour service with this winter storm coming that has bad potential with below freezing temperatures in our area for consecutive days . This will cause plumbing systems to freeze even with the proper prevention from homeowners in place.

Tips on how to prevent frozen plumbing systems
☑️ leave cabinet doors open to home
☑️ set alarms through the night to run your system
☑️run more than a dripping faucet ( steady slow stream worth
☑️exterior wall plumbing fixtures freeze first so make sure to run these areas
☑️exterior hose bibs cover with insulation boxes
☑️disconnect all yard hoses from hose bibs
☑️exterior tankless units checked for insulation and know how to s**t down and drain if power is loss . Most manufacturers do not warranty freeze damage
☑️figure out how to shut down your water system

Find breaker location to shut down power if frozen
-city water
Find shut off box inside home or crawlspace , or find location of water meter or yard box with shut off valve
