Busy season is officially here 🙌

We’ve been bouncing from job to job the past couple weeks and we are so grateful to be back in the swing of things. It’s been a mix of all kinds of projects and we’ve been loving every bit of it!!

We love helping our clients with these kinds of projects! This garden bed needed to be taken apart and leveled, and we had it done in just a couple hours. So glad they’re happy with how it turned out!

We’ve made a small update to how we handle estimates 🤍

We still offer free ballpark quotes over the phone or through photos!

For in-person visits, we now do a small consultation fee that goes toward your project if you move forward with us.

As we’ve gotten busier, this helps us dedicate real time and attention to each home and continue showing up reliably for everyone.

Door upgrades lately! 🚪

We’ve replaced a couple storm doors and an exterior door this past week and figured we’d share the before & afters. Always satisfying seeing how much better they look once they’re in.

Yesterday I got a call from a really sweet woman who needed help with a project, but unfortunately she was outside of our service area.

I told her I’d try to call around and see if I could find someone closer to her.

So I called seven handyman companies in her area.

Seven.

Not a single one answered the phone. Only one eventually called me back.

I was honestly kind of shocked. And it made me realize how frustrating that must be for homeowners who are just trying to get someone to help with something around their house.

When I connected her with the company that called me back, she was so appreciative. But it really got me thinking about how important communication is in this industry.

One thing we’ve always tried really hard to do at Lucky’s is be responsive. We answer the phone whenever we can, and if we miss a call we make sure to call people back as soon as possible.

Because if something in your home needs fixing, the last thing you should have to do is chase someone down just to get a response.
