Here at ZK Carpentry, we have a high volume of finish carpentry projects already on contract and are looking to add to our team. We have been blessed to be able to focus on interior work only and most of our work is in the west metro with an occasional project elsewhere. Workdays are typically 7-3 with a paid lunch. 5-10 hours of overtime per week is often required but do our best to avoid weekends at all costs. That said, you may be asked to work an occasional Saturday depending on schedule.
We are looking for all skill levels but ultimately would like to find experienced people who can jump right in and help the crews. We do our best to focus on what you can bring to our team without too much emphasis on years of experience. We are more interested in who you are as a human, what your work ethic is like and your ability to learn along with having the willingness to bring new ideas to the team.
A highly qualified trim carpenter would be able to set doors, run crown base and case, set cabinets, fabricate beams, fabricate wainscot systems, install handrails, etc. It’s OK if you don’t have all the skills mentioned as there are plenty of opportunities to learn new things. Each project is a one-off and we never can quite tell what challenges they may present… regardless of your experience, we really need problem solvers!

We are willing to train the right candidate. A new carpenter is required to know how to read a tape measure, have at least a basic understanding of proper and safe power tool use, and come prepared with basic hand tools.
