This turf zone had great head spacing but the standard fan spray nozzles caused a very low DU (distribution uniformity). A quick swap to rotator nozzles and the DU doubled! Basically twice as efficient with no tools needed. Rotator nozzles also have other benefits including
-reducing zone flow rates ( sometimes this helps low pressure systems or can reduce water hammer)
-reduced wind drift
-better soil infiltration
-longer distances between heads (where designed)

I’m glad you found my page. My name is Justin, I’m a landscape professional with over 20 years experience in all aspects of landscaping, and a C27 contractor that only does irrigation audits. I’m very experienced with MWELO and WELO requirements. Today’s audit revealed an unusual find. These three valves had the teflon tape wrapped the wrong direction causing constant leaks on the main line side and a low flow through the water meter.
