With continued training, countless years of hands-on experience, and a commitment to professional customer service, our internal service team brings the knowledge and communication needed to understand issues and support long-term system performance.

A strong maintenance program does more than address issues when they happen. It helps extend equipment life, reduce operating costs, and prevent emergency breakdowns before they disrupt building operations.

Silvio consistently goes above and beyond his required duties in Quality Control (QC) to support his team, including our subcontractors. He never hesitates to step up and help resolve issues even when they fall outside of his immediate responsibilities, like taking the time to walk subcontractors through quality expectations in the field to help ensure the work is done correctly the first time.

His dedication and attention to detail are evident every day. Whether he is catching small quality issues before they become bigger problems or staying late to make sure everything is completed properly, Silvio shows a level of ownership that truly stands out. No matter the situation, he approaches his work with a positive attitude and leads by example.

Last week we took employees from our VDC and fabrication teams to the Nats game to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication in the past month.

We're truly thankful for the effort they put in at the shop to keep our projects running smoothly. The energy at the game was fantastic, and it was great to see everyone relaxing and enjoying the game together!

Shapiro & Duncan is proud to highlight our work on the renovation of a historic museum in Washington, D.C!

This project required careful coordination, detailed planning, and a strong understanding of how to modernize major mechanical systems while respecting the building’s historic character. Our team helped deliver important HVAC and plumbing upgrades that support the museum’s continued use for years to come.

We’re also proud to share that Shapiro & Duncan was nominated by Grunley for the WBC Craftsmanship Award for our work on this project — and won!

This recognition would not have been possible without the incredible team behind the work. Their hard work, dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to quality played a major role in the success of this project. We’re proud of the craftsmanship our team delivered and grateful for everyone who helped bring this project across the finish line.
