Your trees are feeling the heat too 🌳☀️

High temperatures and limited rainfall can put stress on trees, especially young or recently planted ones.

During hot, dry conditions, pay attention to your tree and the moisture in the soil before reaching for the hose. Both too little and too much water can stress a tree and overwatering can contribute to tree decline.

When watering is needed, water slowly and deeply around the root zone rather than directly at the trunk. A layer of mulch can also help retain soil moisture and regulate soil temperature.

Watch for signs of stress, including wilting, leaf scorch, early leaf drop or canopy dieback.

Sometimes you need to protect yourself- insect repellent for the chiggers, wasp spray for the yellow jackets, sunscreen for the sun but this battle to get the job done was the first.

Bumblebees!!! My first encounter as well for all the crew. They nest on or in the ground and get really mad when you disturb them. My skid loader operator found that out really quickly as he removed some brush to start this job. A few painful stings and a watchful eye to finish this job up. I played it safe with one of my bee suits as the crew watched from a distance. Mark Johnson

Well I needed to post this one more time. Bag worms are now active and if your tree has visible signs of thinning and yellowing this might be the problem. Early treatment is key. If you see just a few bags hanging on your trees usually not much harm it’s when you see hundreds of bags hanging on branches that damage occurs . Good news here the tire is safe and spraying isn’t necessary

The heat is on!
It’s summertime and the heat has arrived. The spring rains have subsided and your trees need to be kept hydrated thru the peak of the summer. Remember to water heavily but not often. Mulch is key to helping the trees retain the moisture.

A little rough start yesterday morning. I've had countless flats on the rear tires but this is the first time for the front.
Very scary, as you can see it does more damage than "just a flat tire".
Reliable mobile tire service to my rescue and we were up and running in two hours with a replacement rim to do what we do best. MOVING TREES BABY!

Earth Day 🌎

I wish everyone had the chance to see what I see.

Trees tell a story. They clean our air, provide shade for children to play, create habitat for wildlife, and quietly support life in ways we often overlook.

Days like today remind me why I love what I do.

Take a back road on this Earth day! #
