Eighteen days straight of hard labor, and I had to bring in my ace in the hole - my wife - to tackle this beast. We're talking about a rental turnover bathroom with original 2-inch thick tile set in lathe and mortar, the whole nine yards. When demo day arrived, I was shocked to see we'd generated 1200 pounds of debris, including a 16-gauge metal tub and tile walls that weren't going down without a fight. Let's calculate the weight: 50 square feet of tile wall, 1200 pounds total, works out to 24 pounds per square foot hanging precariously from the walls. You could practically hear the house exhaling when the last piece was carted away. And if you made it to the end of this post you have a beer waiting on the bar.ππ©Έππ
