This is the pond/walking trail for theTown of Boons Mill that was finalized a couple months back and is open to the public. It's a really cool spot to get out and breathe some fresh air into those lungs and stretch those legs. Bring the kids and let them burn some of that youthful energy out so they will want to go to bed when its time. The trail is littered with different little features all along and and 4 historical posts explaining about the area in the past. It has a 1 HUGE rock outcroping to climb on, a couple breakoff trails that take you right down to the water for fishing, rock skipping, or whatever floats your boat! They have some nice woodcarvings on display too. These no plan type projects are a lot of fun because they give you pretty much creative freedom to excavate while blending it with the natural lay of the land. A big thank you to the Town of Boons Mill now go enjoy!

Well it was a last minute decision but I took DUMP NAAASTY to the Mayberry Truck Show and man it had a great reception! I didnt get there till mid afternoon when the awards were being given out and she got just about everyone's attention before I turned off the road into the parking lot. Almost before I got backed in people started coming over to check it out and stayed that way till the show closed that night. My new friend Craig that I parked beside said when I came in people didn't know what was going on and were backing up and starting to scatter, especially with him saying "man there's no way that guy can see, look out people". I met and spoke to a lot of cool people that were interested or that loved the truck. I even had fans that wanted my autograph and that was a first time for that, usually it comes in the form of signing those yellow pieces of paper on the side of the road after being pulled. LOL!!! I would also like thank the creators that put my truck on their TikToks gaining a lot of exposure. Till the next one, that I will be way more prepared for and might even get to clean on the inside a bit. Oh and when people asked me "what's it got in it"? I said about a quarter inch of red dirt...that's just proof, as I call it, a SHOWING WORK TRUCK.

Well from the looks of it on here (my page) one might wonder if I was still in business. Yes still going strong, growing every year, and yes wide open as usual. So I decided the other day I need to get back in the habit of posting more on here but it doesn't all have to be about my actual dirt work right? So to escape my OCD earthened sculpture pics I'll showcase another one of my obcessions. While I'm greatful for being able to do what I love it gets old sometimes so ya gotta break it up every once in a while and do some "decorating" as my dad likes to call it! So here's my last weekend's effort of excursion that spontaneously happened... and thats usually when its best. Here's what's new with DUMP NAAASTY....

I would like to thank Carter Machinery for sending me to represent them in the Eastern Regional Operator Challenge in North Carolina last week. Featuring the 18 best operators from as far as eastern Texas to Montana and all the way to the Alantic and in between because we won our respective dealer event prior. I won the individual wheel loader challenge and won the overall contest with the fastest combined time of the 3 events in the CARTER/CON OPERATOR CHALLENGE EXPO near Richmond back in the summer. That qualified me for the Eastern Regional Final. Although I didn't place as high as I wanted I now see how the contest is geared and can know what better to expect next time. The contest challenges was basically the first time every using these specific functions and as you would expect not the quickest but definitely not the slowest either. All in all it was a great time, meeting people from all over, being served delicious food and most importantly getting to showcase your skills competing against the other winners. It was a great learning experience and makes me eager for the next contest. What made my day was the same as last night I had a great day the judges in the excavator competition all said my ditch was by far the best looking of the day and one wanted me to do some ditching for him at his house. And then I told them I didn't even use the Assist functions that they were judging for!

A few pics from the last job. Installed a French Drain on some very wet Spring infested land and successfully lowered the water table so they will be able to mow it now and took out several big trees and stumps after we got started. As the old saying goes..." ya can't stop water"... yeah but you can raise, lower, direct, add and put it in its place though.... if you know what you're doing.
