π¨ Caught It Just in Time! π¨
Today started off as a simple bathroom faucet replacement for a great customer β but it quickly turned into something much more important.
When I went to shut off the water, I noticed the valve at the water heater wasnβt cooperating. I opened the closet door and immediately saw the problem: a 6-year-old Rheem water heater, leaking from every connection. The entire top was basically rust. π³ We were one small leak away from a major disaster.
I shut the water off and suggested the customer check if it was still under warranty. While I finished up the faucet (which turned out great, by the way π), he found out the warranty had expired β just one month ago.
We talked options, and I recommended an upgrade to a reliable Bradford White unit. The install went smoothly: brand new connections, a fresh safety pan to prevent future water damage, and peace of mind restored.
Customer was thrilled β and even more relieved we caught it in time. Sometimes the small jobs turn out to be the ones that really save the day. πͺπ₯π§
