Well, here is an article published by Realtor.com highlighting a study done by the National Home Builders Association that helps explain where an average of 26.4% of that cost comes from. Regulations both on the lot development side, architectural side, and permitting side play a big factor. We encourage you to research the IECC 2024 codes and get involved with your local Builders Association to help make a difference.
