After 27 years, I’m closing a chapter that has shaped my life. This isn’t just leaving a job—it’s saying goodbye to a place that helped shape who I am.

Twenty-seven years ago, the Edwards family gave me an opportunity that became a lifetime of memories, friendships, laughter, and lessons.

To the Edwards family, thank you for your trust, encouragement, and respect. I will never be able to repay what these years have meant to me.

To the Edwards Floor Covering customers… where do I begin?

For 27 years, you were more than customers—you were part of my life. I watched families grow, children become parents, and shared in your joys and hardships. Many of you knew my name, asked about my family, and treated me like one of your own.

You may never know how much those everyday moments meant.

A smile…
A handshake…
A joke…
A simple “How are you doing today?”

Those moments became some of life’s greatest blessings.

It’s hard to walk away from something that has meant so much. I’ll miss the people, the routines, and the daily connections. While jobs change, the relationships built over 27 years will stay with me forever.

Although this chapter is coming to a close, I still look forward to continuing to serve this community as a firefighter and emergency medical responder as a volunteer and part time employee. Being able to give back in that way is something I hold close to my heart.

Thank you to the Edwards family for changing my life.

Thank you to every customer who walked through those doors and gave me the privilege of serving you.

Thank you for every smile, conversation, laugh, prayer, lesson, and memory.

You didn’t just help me make a living…

You helped me make a life.

I will carry you with me wherever I go.

You will still see me around town as maintenance for the apartment complexes in RomeCity.

Yesterday we installed this bedroom. The floor thickness was different than existing flooring, so we prepped the doorway to make our new install flow directly with the old floor. This made the install look so much better eliminating the need for a transition in the doorway. We take pride in making every job absolutely perfect!

Here is one we finished last week. A beautiful look at our Impressions line, with wide/long plank. A very heavy durable product. We also custom stained oak Quarter round and installed for a perfect finished look.

We finished another big job yesterday. Just in time for the holidays! There was no baseboard so we also added custom hardwood 1/4 round throughout.

Some steps are tough. These ones just really make you push yourself. The final over all look of fully wrapped steps are just beautiful!
