Coffee is hot, the roosters are crowing, the birds are singing, and I’m sitting here watching Longhorn and the rest of these beautiful deer eat breakfast. ☕🐓🦌

I swear, I think I spend half my life fattening these things up. 😂 But I wouldn’t trade these quiet mornings for anything. Watching these deer come in every morning, watching the little ones grow, and just getting a few peaceful minutes before the workday starts is a blessing all by itself.

Thank You, God, for another beautiful morning. 🙏

Thank You for our health.
Thank You for keeping us busy.
Thank You for the work and the customers who continue trusting our little business.

We’ve got another busy day ahead of us. We’re taking a little break from that monster oak at the trailer park this morning and heading over around Old Calhoun Road to do some trimming.

That big oak has been a fight. Two half days and a full day already, working in a really tight area where getting the boom truck and bucket positioned just right has been a challenge.

But we’re getting it.

One more day and we’ll have that sucker WHOOPED. 💪🌳

A few more sips of coffee, watch these deer a little longer, and then it’s time to fire everything up and go make another day count.

☀️🌳 GOOD MORNING, NORTHWEST GEORGIA! 🌳☀️

We’re up and at it again this morning, and we’re thankful for another day and another full schedule!

Yesterday morning started with an emergency job in Lindale off Tate Street for Mr. Pinky. I know a whole lot of folks around Rome know Mr. Pinky — he’s been selling T-shirts around here for 30 or 40 years that I know of. We were glad he called us and glad we could get over there and take care of him.

Today we’ll be back at Shade Tree Mobile Home Park finishing up this BIG oak tree. 🌳 These pictures give you an idea of the size of this thing and why having the right equipment and an experienced crew matters.

It’s going to be another hot, humid August day in Rome, with a high around 92°F and a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. Everybody working outside today, stay cool, drink plenty of water, and keep an eye on the weather.

We’re extremely thankful to be BUSY and thankful for every customer who trusts our little company with their property. We don’t take any of it for granted. 🙏

Coffee is hot, the birds are singing, and this morning I got to sit for a few minutes and watch a mama deer and her two fawns come in to eat. 🦌🦌🦌

Sometimes you have to slow down long enough to appreciate the simple things.

Thank God for another beautiful morning, another day above ground, and another opportunity to go to work. 🙏

And speaking of work — we are BLESSED and BUSY!

We have a full day ahead of us, starting with an emergency tree job right here in Lindale, then we’re headed back to finish taking down a big oak at Shade Tree Mobile Home Park, get everything cleaned up, and grind the stump.

Not long ago things had slowed down and we were wondering when the phone was going to start ringing again.

Well, it’s ringing now — and we couldn’t be more thankful.

🌳 TREE CARE ISN’T ALWAYS ABOUT REMOVAL.

We’ve been maintaining this large mature oak for the past couple of years, keeping the deadwood cleaned out, managing the canopy, and helping keep it safe around the property.

A tree this size is worth taking care of. Proper maintenance can help preserve a mature tree and keep it safer and healthier for years to come.

Sometimes the best tree job is the one where the tree is still standing when we leave. 🌳

🌳🏁 RACE WEEKEND RECAP — L&M & THEM FREAKY FAST 75M 🏁🌳

We wanted to give all of our L&M & THEM Tree Service followers an update on how our L&M & THEM Freaky Fast 75M Super Late Model weekend went at North Georgia Speedway.

We unloaded Saturday with a race car that was really close. Through hot laps and qualifying, we continued working on a few small things, especially trying to get the car to come off the corner straighter and put the power to the ground better.

Before qualifying, we made a couple of adjustments, and the car responded. It was noticeably straighter coming off the corner, carrying less excessive yaw, and pointed down the racetrack much better. Looking back through the race photos, you can actually see the difference in the attitude of the car. That was a big step in the right direction for us.

Unfortunately, we never got the opportunity to see what we really had for the rest of the night. An oil-pump belt failure ended our race early.

That’s racing. Sometimes you work all night getting closer, finally start finding what the car wants, and then something mechanical takes the opportunity away.

But we came away from North Georgia Speedway knowing we made progress.

After six years of racing, we’re still learning every time we unload this car. One of the biggest lessons from this weekend was that when the car is already close, sometimes you don’t need to change everything. A few small, calculated adjustments can make a big difference.

The 75M came home in one piece, we learned something, and we found improvement. Now we’ll repair what failed, get everything checked over, and get ready to go again. 🏁
