Thanks to your loyalty and generosity, we are able to bless those who rely on others to eat. Yesterday we were able to provide close to 4lbs of Buttercrunch, Red Sails, and Black-Seeded Simpson lettuce. When I returned today with the peppers, Kristen showed me what a beautiful salad that lettuce became.

We kept the Datil pepper plants in the ground because they were too darn pretty to pull, plus they still had quite a few peppers on them. Ours peppers produced a 78.3 pound harvest this year, thank You Jesus!!!

Please contact us for your fall produce needs/wants. We currently have lots of cilantro, fresh thyme, oregano, lemon balm, and many varieties of lettuce (sorry, no Iceberg).

Remember, your support allows us to continue blessing those in need. May you always be blessed with lots of peace, joy, and love!!!

Happy Fall Y'all!!! Finally!!! You haven't heard from us in a while, only because we've been busy transitioning to our fall garden. Fall is such a wonderful time of year for gardening, pleasant temps, less pest pressure, less watering, etc.

Please see the pictures for what's available right now, come and get it! We have several varieties of Bok Choi, lots of cilantro, oregano, lemon balm, and chives. The leaf, romaine and butterhead lettuces are looking good, as well as Serrano, Datil, and Jalapeno peppers . It won't be long until the spinach, kale, collards, carrots, and beets will be ready.

We've redone the strawberry beds and next years strawberries have been planted. We're looking forward to a better harvest after last years disappointment.

We look forward to seeing you, thank you for your continued support!

Hi friends, it’s been a while! Here’s what’s happening at Blessed to Bless Gardens.

We are in full blown transition to our fall garden. I've prepared the beds for direct sown carrots and beets. The carrots came up nicely and the beets germinated at around 50-60%. Just a tad disappointing, I will re-seed to fill in the gaps. Due to the soil temperature I had to start the first batch of lettuce seeds indoors and they will be transplanted on September 12th. We seeded the second batch of lettuce seeds yesterday and will transplant on September 24th (not the right moon phase, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do 🙂). We’re hoping for a productive, late planted cucumber harvest. We will be direct sowing spinach, kale, collards and bok choi during the next week.

Cold-Hardy Lettuce

We’re especially excited about the final batch of lettuce. I found several cold-hardy varieties, including one that can withstand temperatures as low as 9 degrees with very little protection.

Thank You for Your Support

As always, thank you for supporting Blessed to Bless Gardens. We would still be blessed without your support, but we could not bless others in the ways that matter most to us.

Our Growing Commitment

You can count on us for delicious, nutritious, homegrown food without the risk of Cyclospora. We continue learning how to grow clean food without chemically formulated pesticides, fungicides, or fertilizers. We remain committed to using only organic products, many of which are listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI).

Who knew these were such a big deal in Florida? I've still got them coming, right here in Rome, GA. Maybe I can get Francine or Lonna with Pies, Pies, & More to share their thoughts on our Datil's? Do they compare well with what you were used to in
St. Augustine?

🛡️ STUDENTLIFE | WEEK 2 — THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS 🛡️

**WEDNESDAY NIGHT | 6:15–7:45 PM**
**6th–12th Grade | LIFE Church**

What if the righteousness God asks of you **isn't something you have to earn?**

This Wednesday, we're continuing our **Armor of God** series with the **Breastplate of Righteousness**—and we're going deeper than simply “doing the right thing.”

We're going to discover what it means that **Jesus lived the perfect life we couldn't live, died the death we deserved, and gives us His righteousness through faith.** And here's the incredible part: because of what Jesus has done for us, we don't have to spend our lives trying to prove that we're good enough.

**His righteousness becomes our identity.**
And then that new identity begins to change the way we live.

We'll talk about how righteousness protects our hearts from **shame, accusation, comparison, temptation, and the pressure to be perfect**—and what it looks like to choose what is right even when **nobody's watching.**

**You don't have to be perfect. You need Jesus.**

đź“– **Bring your Bible.**
🍕 **Pizza & chips provided!**
🔥 **Come ready to learn. Come ready to grow.**

Come join us for **Week 2 of Armor of God!** 🛡️

**Be protected. Be transformed. Live righteously.**

**Love God. Love Others. Make Disciples.** ❤️

Check out the beautiful stand of garlic chives! They offer the most flavor at this flowering stage and the flowers are edible too.

We had another nice eggplant harvest this morning. The cucumbers are continuing to produce nicely. If you're up to pickling, we've got close to 5 pounds of the prized Boston Pickling Cucumbers today. We're hearing very nice comments on the Beit Alpha Persian Cucumbers.

A few have asked about our plans for fall crops. We're looking forward to starting lettuce seeds indoors in a couple of weeks (the soil is too hot for lettuce seed germination). We will direct sow gold and red beets, carrots, spinach and kale. "Each season brings new opportunities to reflect on God's provision and faithfulness."

"Cultivating gratitude can enhance the joy found in gardening, making it a spiritual practice as well." As always, we are more than grateful for your support and encouragement! Thank you!!!
