FYI,
It has come to our attention that the standard 14-50 and 6-50 range outlets that most people have been using for car charging outlets are not built strong enough to handle the long term loads that are required to charge a car. They were made for ranges and welders and things that are not drawing large loads for 8-10 hours at a time. There are a couple different brands of these that are industrial grade and Tesla, for one, is recommending that any existing installs using standard residential grade outlets be replaced with industrial grade outlets. Whacky facts

Tomorrow Island (Russia) and Yesterday Isle/Island (USA) are just three miles apart but there's a 21-hour time difference between them. This is because they sit on either side of the International Date Line which passes through the Pacific Ocean and marks the boundary between one calendar day and the next.

It used to be common to use outlets as your connection. Rather than a wire nut or crimp and pigtail to the outlet, the old timers would just plug the wires into the back of the outlet. The entire load of that circuit is relying on a little copper tab in the back of the outlet. When that connection becomes loose the wires and outlets start to melt. The insulation becomes brittle and starts to flake/melt off. So FYI if your outlets are wired this way, keep a close eye on them and try to get the connections made correctly. If you’re running any space heaters take a close look at the cord end and see if it’s getting hot, the combination of a large load and bad connections is not good.

Just realized I never put this on my company page. Some spray paint art I did about a month ago. I’ll be doing one soon for a customer who has a plywood cover for their breaker boxes that they would like me to build and paint. Totally psyched about it!

I built in some extra storage space in my truck by using the wasted space above the seats. And since I spend a lot of time in my truck I figure I should probably try to have fun with it.

I got to work inside the shell of a fake mini cooper. Is that an accomplishment or a punishment? Not sure but it was cool.
