Tree came down on the roof after the storm. At first glance it didn’t seem terrible but once we got up there the roof was punctured, snow had to be cleared before anything else, a tarp had to be installed to stop water damage, and there was debris everywhere across the roof and yard. On top of that, another tree was blocking the driveway that had to be removed too.
This is what storm work actually looks like. It’s not just cutting a branch it’s protecting the house from getting worse. If it’s not handled right, that small hole turns into thousands in damage fast.

Most people would probably say no…
After a storm like this, a lot of damage looks “fine” at first glance.
But we’re seeing trees right now that:
• Are cracked or stressed without obvious signs
• Have limbs ready to drop with the next wind
• Can cause more damage if left alone
That’s where people get caught off guard.

Would you worry about this… or ignore it?
Most people wouldn’t think twice about a tree like this in the winter.
But snow and ice add weight fast and branches like this are the ones that fail under pressure.
We usually don’t get the call until it’s already caused damage.
We’re seeing a lot of this right now around Roscommon & Houghton Lake after the storms.
