Roscommon Community Garden

Roscommon Community Garden The Crawford-Roscommon Conservation District has established a community garden in Roscommon where people can learn about gardening and landscaping.

A pollinator habitat garden, asparagus patch, and raised beds will teach people about renewable resources. In addition, trees and shrubs will be planted to teach people about species that grow in Northern Michigan. We are always seeking volunteers, so if you are interested, please contact Maureen Ruddy at 989 745-5999.

We are excited to say that we will be delivering our fresh produce to St. Vincent Depaul in the Village of Roscommon! We have potatoes still growing, and some produce still ripening, so we hope to deliver on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

We thinned our strawberry patch this morning! If anyone is interested in starting their own strawberry bed, we left some extra plants in a bucket of water just outside our gate on Main Street. They're free for the taking - plant them now to give them a chance to root before the snow flies!
