Well that’s just rude.

Why were the tomatoes in the Victory Garden staying green? Because people snuck in and stole them before we could harvest them for the local foodbank!

Two of the three gardens managed by the Douglas County Master Gardener Association are open to the public. One is the Discovery Garden with its many different landscape gardens and the other is the Demonstration Garden across the parking lot. People are welcome to sample the vegetables and fruits grown in the Demo Garden. But the Victory Garden, well, that’s another story. The vegetables and fruits grown there are destined for the local foodbank, not for people to shimmy through the locked gates to pick the produce for themselves. Seriously, there are fences around the Victory Garden with three locked gates. We would appreciate if people would respect that the Victory Garden is off limits so we can give the abundance of that garden to the foodbank.

We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude to perform electrical work in local residential, commercial and industrial environments. We work Monday through Friday, avoiding if at all possible nights and weekends. We provide health insurance for you and your family after 60 days (if you do not currently have coverage). We pay for holidays immediately and vacation after one year. We pay bonuses throughout the year based on performance. Must have a current, valid Oregon license as an Inside Electrician.

We are very proud of Mackenzie Powell and Blake McInvale who have successfully completed their apprenticeships with us and are newly minted Journeyman Electricians!

They will continue to work for us with new apprentices and continue to provide great customer-service.

Getting so many calls from folks burning up receptacles by plugging in window a/c units. These units draw too much power to be added to existing circuits. It is best to call a licensed electrician to install a dedicated receptacle.

Last week we hooked up three car charging stations for the City of Roseburg. There is now a charger at the library, the splash pad and in the parking garage downtown. I understand that charges are free for awhile, not sure how long. Enjoy!
