Paying it Forward at Renewal & Remembrance | Veteran-led since our founding, Visterra has always recognized and promoted the service of those employees who have sacrificed a significant portion of their lives to preserve our nation's freedoms. We intentionally recruit veterans with strong safety, operations and project management leadership experience into mission-critical positions as our company scales for continued growth. On July 20, 2026, we were proud to join forces with other veteran landscape professionals and their supporters for the 30th annual Renewal & Remembrance day of service held by the National Association of Landscape Professionals. Our work that special day will be an experience we will never forget and always remember with compassion and honor. Special thanks to the National Association of Landscape Professionals, Arlington National Cemetery, and the more than 400,000 men and women who are laid to rest on these hallowed grounds; may their service and sacrifice never be forgotten.

This week, Visterra President and Chief Executive Officer Alan Handley issued an internal communication to all employees about a small but important edit to our core values. We are pleased to share a bit of Alan's message, and even more proud to ensure our values are understood and practiced by all of us . . .

"Through our core values we set the example for what it means to be a good employee, and more broadly, a decent human being. However, our values must be understood and relate to all employees, and in that spirit of continuous improvement, I’m proud to announce a slight change to our core values. Effective immediately, we are adding the letter O to EQUIPS, representing Opportunity, as we rename our core values: EQUIPOS. Not only does the O represent how we value opportunity, growth and career development, it also reframes the acronym to mean ‘teams,’ so our fellow Spanish and (Brazilian) Portuguese speaking employees can better understand, relate to and feel connection with our shared values."
